Carnivorous Bromeliad...?

So it sounds absurd to me, but has anyone heard of two species of carnivorous bromeliads? Someone mentioned it and I'm trying to figure out what they were talking about. Any ideas?

    • Keep in mind, they're not exactly "carnivorous", or, at least, no more carnivorous than Roridula... Which is that they don't really do the digestive work themselves but (may possibly) benefit from the work of other (micro)organisms.

Isn't it that D. californica also doesn't produce any digestive enzymes?
